Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years post-diploma ultrasonography experience.
• Diploma in radiography/ultrasound or Bachelor with special training in ultrasonography.
• License for practice per regional health regulatory authority (SCFHS/DHA)

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations including abdomen, pelvis, obstetric and breast.
• Submits images to radiologist for discussion and reporting.
• Assists radiologist in interventional procedures and special exams.
• Prepares patients, identifies patient details, and ensures correct examination site.
• Records images to PACS and maintains logs; keeps ultrasound rooms orderly.
• Educates patients and families about procedures and safety.
