Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities across project stages, ensuring compliance with briefs, standards, budgets, schedules, and delivery requirements.
• Support senior leadership in overseeing design delivery, monitoring progress, governance, and providing design status reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate consultants, technical teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated, compliant design solutions.
• Review design submissions, consultant deliverables, contractor submittals, and technical documentation for quality and coordination.
• Lead resolution of design clashes, technical queries, constructability challenges, interface issues, and design changes while managing risks.
• Maintain design management systems, trackers, action logs, approval workflows, and technical records for effective project control.
• Facilitate communication and information distribution among internal teams, consultants, clients, and stakeholders for timely reviews and approvals.
• Promote safety, sustainability, and compliance by applying standards and design-for-safety principles while mentoring junior staff.

The Project

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed‑use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high‑calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities across project stages, ensuring compliance with approved briefs, standards, budgets, schedules, and delivery requirements.
• Support senior leadership in overseeing design delivery, monitoring progress, maintaining governance processes, and providing regular design status reports to project stakeholders.
• Coordinate consultants, technical teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated, compliant, and high‑quality design solutions aligned with project objectives and standards.
• Review and assess design submissions, consultant deliverables, contractor submittals, and technical documentation to ensure completeness, quality, coordination, and specification compliance.
• Lead the resolution of design clashes, technical queries, constructability challenges, interface issues, and design changes while managing associated risks and mitigation measures.
• Maintain design management systems, including trackers, action logs, approval workflows, technical records, and reporting tools to support effective project control and decision‑making.
• Facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and information distribution among internal teams, consultants, clients, and stakeholders to support timely reviews, approvals, and project delivery.
• Promote safety, sustainability, and compliance by applying industry standards, safety‑in‑design principles, regulations, and organisational values while mentoring junior staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years’ experience in design coordination or design management roles.
• Experience working with multi‑di design consultants.
• Good understanding of design development stages and coordination requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
