Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Survey Engineer to support major transportation and utility infrastructure projects in Jeddah. You will oversee contractor surveying activities, verify setting out, review survey records, and ensure works conform to drawings, specs, and contracts.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in surveying/geomatics or civil engineering, with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years on transportation and utility projects in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Surveying/Geomatics/Civil engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum 5 years on transportation, roads, highways and utility projects.
Mandatory experience within Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Experience with consultancy firms in site supervision capacity.
Proficiency with surveying equipment and software.

Responsibilities

Review and verify contractor survey methodologies, control points, benchmarks and setting out activities.
Monitor and inspect survey works to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and project requirements.
Verify horizontal and vertical alignments, levels, coordinates, and dimensions.
Establish and maintain survey control networks and reference points across sites.
Review survey reports, calculations, records and as-built drawings.
Coordinate with Resident Engineers and multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues.
Verify quantities and measurements for progress reporting and certification.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements during survey operations.
Support project reporting and provide technical recommendations relating to surveying and construction accuracy.
