Job summary

NextEra in Dammam seeks a Senior Storage & Backup Engineer to manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, and DR readiness. The role covers administration, optimization, and incident resolution for data center environments within ITSS Managed Services.

The candidate will lead storage provisioning, backup scheduling, tape library operations, and governance, working closely with OEM vendors and internal teams to ensure data availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 11 years of overall IT infrastructure experience with strong hands-on storage and backup administration.
• Significant experience supporting large-scale enterprise data center environments.
• Strong hands-on experience across SAN, NAS, enterprise storage, backup, tape libraries, and Disaster Recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments and backup infrastructure.
• Provide L3 technical support for storage, SAN, backup, and recovery incidents.
• Manage tape libraries, archiving, retention, and offsite tape handling.
• Coordinate with OEM/vendors for complex hardware and software issues and DR testing.
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance with ITSS standards and ITIL processes.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and availability; optimize storage utilization.
• Develop and maintain documentation, dashboards, and reports for storage ecosystem.
