Job summary

NextEra is seeking a Senior Storage & Backup Engineer in Dammam to manage and optimize enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. You will provide L3 support for SAN/NAS, backup systems, tape libraries, and disaster recovery across multiple client environments.

The role emphasizes data availability, integrity, capacity planning, and DR readiness within the ITSS Managed Services framework. Strong hands-on experience with Huawei, HPE, Veeam, and tape libraries is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
“Minimum 11 years of overall IT infrastructure experience, with strong hands-on storage & backup expertise.”
Strong hands-on experience across SAN, NAS, enterprise storage, backup, tape libraries, and Disaster Recovery.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments.
Manage storage platforms including Huawei OceanStor Dorado, Huawei OceanProtect, HPE Alletra.
Handle Brocade SAN switches, zoning, Fibre Channel connectivity, and storage access.
Administer and support backup infrastructure using Veeam; manage backup schedules and retention.
Administer HPE StoreEver MSL3040 tape libraries and archiving requirements.
Provide L3 technical support for storage, SAN, backup, and recovery incidents.
Support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
