Job summary

Confidential is seeking a technically sound and goal-oriented Sales Engineer with extensive experience in selling sheet-metal machinery and industrial equipment. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing existing customers, and understanding technical requirements to recommend suitable machinery solutions for sheet-metal fabrication.

The candidate will conduct product demonstrations, prepare technical offers, and negotiate terms to achieve sales targets.

Qualifications

• Requires deep technical sales experience in metals or machinery.
• Strong knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to read technical specs and tailor machine solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in sheet-metal fabrication and related sectors.
• Promote and sell sheet-metal machinery including laser cutters, press brakes, shears, punches, bending machines.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, fabricators, dealers and industrial clients.
• Understand customer needs, production processes and material specs to recommend suitable equipment.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and technical offers with internal teams.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules to hit sales targets.
• Follow up on inquiries, quotations, orders and deliveries.
• Coordinate with application engineers, service teams and other departments to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and new opportunities in sheet-metal machinery.
• Maintain sales reports, customer databases and updates on the pipeline.
