Job summary

The Client of Eram Talent is seeking a senior Test Engineer specialized in mechanical functional and performance testing of overhaul rotating equipment, with emphasis on steam turbines or pumps. You will plan, execute, and interpret tests, ensuring instrumentation accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

With 15+ years in rotating equipment and hands-on experience in turbine or pump repair, overhaul, and testing, you will lead diagnostics, root cause analysis, and technical reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program is required.
• At least 15 years in rotating equipment with 8+ years in turbine or pump repair, overhaul, or testing.
• Strong knowledge of vibration analysis, rotor dynamics, and machinery protection.
• Experience with workshop testing instrumentation and performance testing.
• Experience in oil & gas / power generation environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and evaluate mechanical functional and performance testing of overhaul rotating equipment (turbines or pumps).
• Develop and review test plans, ensure instrumentation calibration and test-system readiness.
• Interpret test data, compare with specifications, and report deviations with corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and support technical reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Prepare technical test records, deviation reports and recommendations.
