Job summary

WSP are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join a major roads & highways construction project based in Riyadh. As a Senior Planner, you will lead planning and scheduling activities, collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive plans and allocate resources while monitoring progress.

You will mentor junior planners, drive process improvements, and ensure schedules align with milestones and regulatory requirements, while coordinating across stakeholders for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 20+ years in project planning and scheduling with advancement to senior roles.
• Experience on roads & highways construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; excellent communication.
• Leadership qualities to motivate teams and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project plans, including scope, WBS, schedule and resources.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using planning software.
• Coordinate with resource managers for optimal allocation across projects.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies affecting timelines or budgets.
• Monitor progress and address deviations or delays.
• Communicate status, risks, and issues to teams and senior management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align plans with goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior planners.
