Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Rail Transport Planner with extensive experience to join the Middle East Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory unit. The role covers master plans, traffic impact studies, and multi-disciplinary projects in public and private sectors.

You will apply traffic engineering theory, analyse junctions, and contribute to reports while collaborating with teams and managing limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic modelling.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning with railway project exposure.
• Knowledge of international public transport planning standards and procedures.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to transport planning studies including master plan assessments and traffic impact studies.
• Understand transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory.
• Experience in public transport networks and international standards.
• Prepare existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments.
• Communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Work with limited supervision and participate in project/financial management.
