Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced Rail Transport Planner to join the Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory team in the Middle East. The role requires a degree in traffic engineering or related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including railway project exposure.

You will contribute to master plans, traffic impact studies and multi-disciplinary planning projects for public and private sectors, communicating in English and delivering reports with rigorous analyses.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory.
• Experience in public transport networks and familiarity with international transport planning standards and practices.
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Some experience project/financial management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.
• Prepare reports including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments.
• Undertake junction analysis to support the traffic impact assessments.
• Support development of reports and citywide mobility plans.
