Job summary

JASARA Program Management Company invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Saudi Arabia. You will manage financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring delivery within budgets while providing expert cost guidance and procurement strategy support.

You will lead QS activities across the project lifecycle, prepare cost estimates and tender documents, conduct cost control, negotiate contracts, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
• MRICS certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantity surveying activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Conduct regular financial assessments and cost control to meet budgets.
• Negotiate contracts and manage variations or claims with contractors and suppliers.
• Work with project managers to ensure planning and execution with financial insights.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and validate costs.
• Mentor and train junior staff to promote professional development.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on costs and procurement strategies while collaborating closely with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quantity surveying activities throughout the full project lifecycle
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents to support project delivery
• Conduct regular financial assessments and cost control measures to ensure compliance with budgets
• Negotiate contracts and manage any variations or claims with contractors and suppliers
• Work alongside project managers to ensure effective project planning and execution, providing financial insights as needed
• Conduct site visits for monitoring progress and validating completed work against cost projections
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff to promote professional development within the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement practices
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for effective stakeholder engagement
• Saudi national preferred
