Job summary

BEC Arabia is hiring a QS - Mechanical Engineer in Riyadh to manage cost, budgets, and contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will prepare cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, perform quantity take-offs, and coordinate with design teams to ensure accurate BOQs.

The role requires at least 5 years of quantity surveying experience in mechanical systems, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with SBC, GOSI, and Saudization requirements, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience for mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of SBC and mechanical standards; SCE registration.
• Familiarity with GOSI and Saudization compliance; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• Monitor and control project budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs for mechanical works.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project variations, claims and change orders.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams to validate drawings.
• Ensure Saudization and GOSI compliance in contracts.
• Present financial reports to stakeholders; support procurement activities.
• Collaborate with safety teams; apply OSHA/NEBOSH/ISO 45001 standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit and Primavera P6 for cost analysis and scheduling.
