Job summary

UNISIS Engineering is seeking a highly experienced QC Inspector - Welding to oversee welding quality across fabrication and construction activities. You will verify compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, review WPS/PQR, ensure welder qualifications, and coordinate NDT inspections, while maintaining accurate quality records for traceability.

The role requires AWS or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification, NDT Level II in RT/UT/MT/PT, and Saudi Aramco approval with SAP number and CBT

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of welding inspection and quality control experience.
• Mandatory AWS or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification.
• Saudi Aramco approval with SAP Number and CBT qualification is required.
• Must hold NDT Level II in RT, UT, MT and PT.
• Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, welder qualification and inspection criteria.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols; maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, NDT technicians, contractors and client inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welding activities at various fabrication stages.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, applicable welding codes and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Review WPS, PQR and welder qualifications before welding starts.
• Ensure welders are qualified for processes, materials, positions and joints.
• Inspect welding consumables, storage and handling per procedures.
• Coordinate with NDT for RT/UT/MT/PT inspections.
• Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with teams.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists and traceability documents.
• Support quality audits and close quality observations with client reps.
