Job summary

Wood is seeking a Project Control Engineer (PMC) for remote project sites across Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, and cost analysis, while coordinating with project teams.

Candidates should hold a BSc in Engineering and bring 15+ years of cost engineering experience in similar fields, with strong English communication, numeracy, and planning skills.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree in Engineering subject or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years cost engineering experience in similar field.
• Competent in all MS Office applications.
• Good communication skills in English language - written and verbal.
• Excellent technical numeracy.
• Excellent time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project controls scope of services.
• Direct cost engineering functions including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis.
• Directing, planning, and scheduling functions including schedule development, control, and analysis.
• Demonstrate strong leadership to motivate a team and interact with client personnel.
• Apply advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction in Oil & Gas.
• Oversee project controls and financial issues and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Prepare internal and external cost reports per procedures and scope.
• Liaise with Client personnel as necessary.
• Analyze and forecast work hours and costs for projects.
• Attend and represent in cost-related meetings.
• Identify deviations and trends against budgets and advise on corrective actions.
• Review overall project status and forecasts with senior project managers.
• Ensure weekly/monthly reconciliation between cost reports and accounting data.
• Maintain awareness of related systems used by other departments.
