Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Controls Advisor III to support high-complexity plant outage projects within its Power segment. You will interpret costs and schedules, develop control programs, and advise project managers and site representatives to achieve on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 7+ years of project controls experience in energy projects, strong Primavera P6 skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of demonstrated Project Controls experience in Power or Oil & Gas Projects.
• Field experience and knowledge of O&M field work practices.
• English proficiency required.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 software (P6) and related planning/budgeting tools.
• Proficient in using P6 Global Change, Resource and Budget loading, Leveling.
• Strong data analytics, problem solving and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine tools necessary to meet budget and project forecast goals.
• Develop Project Controls Plans and Outage schedule per Global Project Controls Policy (GPCP) and adapt to outage projects and service managers.
• Develop complex Project Controls Plans and outage schedules per GPCP and support managers.
• Lead discussions for Job Cost Estimate development and budgeting using historical data and project experience.
• Track invoices from internal and third-party sources, maintain records and perform audits.
• Build backcharge claims with sourcing for third-party suppliers.
• Support outage schedule meetings with customers/end users.
• Track change orders and extra works; manage related cost impacts.
• Review ACWP and EAC with stakeholders and forecast amounts to be invoiced.
• Perform change control and risk management per GPCP.
• Analyze outage costs and advise budget improvements to stay on cost targets.
• Coordinate project setup in Oracle Primavera and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Ensure project set-up aligns to PO/subcontract budgets and close-out activities.
• Generate final cost and schedule reporting as required.
