A leading construction company in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead planning and project controls across major building and construction projects. The role covers schedule development, progress monitoring, resource planning and performance reporting, with a focus on establishing planning standards and supporting timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years planning and project controls experience.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role on major building/construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel required.
• Ability to lead planning teams and coordinate complex schedules.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling activities, establish standards and project controls.
• Oversee development and maintenance of integrated baseline schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Mentor planning engineers; allocate responsibilities and ensure deliverable quality.
• Align schedules with contractual milestones, execution strategies and resources.
• Monitor progress, critical paths, variances and risks; drive corrective actions.
• Develop recovery and acceleration programmes with project teams.
• Oversee resource loading, manpower forecasts and productivity monitoring.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial, construction and subcontractors to resolve constraints.
• Present schedule performance, risks and actions to senior management and clients.
• Lead delay analyses and provide input for extension-of-time submissions.
• Drive improvements in planning processes and lessons learned.
