Job summary

FileCloud is seeking a Senior PHP Backend Developer to join our Growth & Expansion team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This fully office-based role involves developing server-side functionality and building scalable cloud-based services, collaborating with a global FileCloud team.

The candidate should have 4+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years in PHP, and strong English communication skills. Familiarity with PHP 8.2+, Composer, PHPUnit, MongoDB, and cloud platforms is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of web application development experience.
• 3+ years in PHP development and PHP ecosystem (PHP 8.2+, Composer, PHPUnit).
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, XML, REST.
• Experience with automated testing and client-server architecture.
• Proficient English communication; comfortable with AI coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Create elegant, efficient, bulletproof server-side software.
• Work with PHPStorm, MongoDB, NodeJS, AWS/AZURE, GIT, Memcache, and Solr.
• Tackle complex architectural challenges for new features.
• Integrate with databases, file systems, and cloud services.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and deliver patches as needed.
• Share knowledge with other engineers.
