Job summary

CodeNinja is seeking a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join a leading Saudi bank's technology team. You will design and maintain high-performance data solutions for the Operational Data Store (ODS), working on complex data pipelines feeding core banking systems into the ODS.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience, strong Oracle DB tuning skills, and hands-on experience with banking data environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c, including performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing/ODS concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Experience working with large-scale banking data (core banking, AML, or similar).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Unix/Linux) for job scheduling and automation.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to data accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Build and maintain ETL/data-load routines feeding the ODS from core banking and source systems.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and execution-plan analysis.
• Design data models and support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across ODS and downstream reporting systems.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data requirements and translate them into database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues within agreed SLAs.
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and unit/system test cases.
