Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Commissioning Lead to oversee planning, testing, calibration, integration and handover of instrumentation and control systems on new offshore jack-up drilling rigs. You will ensure regulatory and class compliance, safety, and operational readiness through rigorous ITPs, FATs/SATs, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate has 12–15 years in instrumentation commissioning, with at least 8 years on offshore rigs, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation, or equivalent technical discipline.
• 12-15 years of instrumentation commissioning experience.
• Minimum 8 years on offshore rigs, ideally jack-up newbuilds.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of commissioning plans, ITPs, methods, schedules and resources.
• Direct commissioning, testing, calibration, verification, and startup of instrumentation systems.
• Lead testing and verification of control valves, Fire & Gas, ESD/SIS loops for safety and reliability.
• Oversee loop checks, calibration, functional testing, energization, and system performance verification.
• Manage interfaces among engineering, construction, operations, OEMs, client reps and classification societies.
• Oversee drilling instrumentation, HVAC/BMS controls, monitoring systems and auxiliary packages.
• Direct activities per API, IEC, classification society requirements and quality standards.
• Promote permit-to-work, SIMOPS, risk assessments, toolbox talks and HSE procedures.
• Oversee documentation: check sheets, test reports, handover dossiers and traceability.
• Direct punch-list management and readiness assessments for handover.
