Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking a seasoned piping quality inspector to ensure offshore piping fabrication and erection meet project specifications. You will verify material identity, confirm welding releases, and oversee testing and documentation for compliance with client and code requirements.

The role requires 6–9 years of offshore inspection experience, a mechanical engineering diploma, and welding inspector certifications (CSWIP/AWS/ASNT).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• CSWIP/AWS/ASNT or equivalent welding inspector certification.
• 6–9 years of offshore quality inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify piping material identity and conformance to drawings.
• Verify welding inspection complete and release of joints.
• Check dimensions and alignment per construction specs.
• Review surveillance and manage project consumables.
• Perform piping walkdown inspections and punch lists.
• Endorse inspection records from initial to final acceptance.
• Interface with client to meet contractual and code requirements.
• Interpret codes and documentation for materials and welding consumables.
• Monitor piping mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies.
