Job summary

Wood is seeking an Area Lead – Mine Facilities to support its Projects business in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on developing a new gold mining and processing facility during construction and pre-commissioning phases, with initial office-based work in Al Khobar, Riyadh or Jubail before mobilising to site on an 8/2 rotation.

The candidate will lead civil, structural, mechanical and E&I works, manage contractors and ensure HSE, schedule and quality requirements are met during all project phases.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership capabilities in large-scale mining or oil & gas projects.
• Strong coordination across civil, structural, mechanical and E&I disciplines.
• Experience with safety, quality, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction of mine facilities and supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical and E&I works across all phases.
• Manage contractors and ensure HSE, schedule and quality compliance.
• Oversee project execution and smooth handover to operations.
• Oversee workshops, warehouses, offices, fuel systems, roads, drainage, infrastructure.
