Job summary

Wood is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the mining project in Saudi Arabia. You will lead mechanical equipment design and ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and client procedures, while coordinating a multi-disciplinary team on site.

You will mentor Saudi engineers, participate in safety reviews, and contribute to bid support, tendering, and execution through EPC stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering on mining or large industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of codes and standards and field engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Single-point responsibility for all mechanical equipment design deliverables and adherence to codes and client procedures.
• Coordinate the mechanical team and report to Project/Engineering Manager on project matters.
• Support planning, scheduling, budgeting and manhour estimation for discipline activities.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and site personnel on design methods and standards.
