Job summary

Parsons is hiring a QA and QC Engineer - Construction Materials in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a site-based role on a major Diriyah public-realm development. The engineer will focus on material approvals, testing coordination, documentation, storage controls, and contractor compliance to ensure only approved materials are used.

Ideal candidate has a minimum eight years of engineering experience, strong knowledge of submittal and approval processes, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Eight years of engineering experience.
• Five years as a materials engineer on infrastructure projects.
• Experience with roads, highways, bridges, or public-realm developments.
• Clear spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor material submittals for technical completeness.
• Check proposed products against applicable standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate required reviews and obtain formal material approvals.
• Serve as the focal point for scheduling and controlling construction materials and equipment.
• Maintain visibility of planned deliveries and site material requirements.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with contract specifications.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into permanent works.
• Coordinate subconsultants and laboratories performing material tests.
• Review test requests, results, certificates, and supporting records.
• Prepare daily diaries, progress reports, and contract-required documentation.
