Job summary

Noon, a leading Middle East e-commerce platform, is seeking a senior operations and logistics leader in Saudi Arabia to design lean DC operations, Six Sigma initiatives and the overall operational excellence program.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across transportation, inventory planning and engineering to drive end-to-end improvements, safety, quality and on-time fulfillment in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in logistics or supply chain management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce in a related field.
• Strong experience as a business partner delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives.
• Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proven people-centric leader who drives results in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

• Design the lean DC operations, Six Sigma, operational excellence portion of the strategic Business Plan.
• Develop and implement system optimization, process improvements, operations excellence and cultural change plans leading to world-class operations and fulfillment performance.
• Interface with Operational Excellence and Lean DC leaders at the Division, Group, Sector and Corporate level as well as counterparts at all noon locations.
• Oversee the Value Stream Mapping for internal and external customers; create the business case, facilitate the event, and drive the implementation plan.
• Identify systemic issues and drive their resolution.
• Drive standard processes and ensure best practice sharing across shifts, departments and other fulfillment centers; focus on safety, quality, productivity, and workflow.
• Partner with groups company-wide including transportation, S&OP, data integration, employee engagement, inventory planning, engineering to coordinate cross-functional projects.
• Monitor and drive end-to-end metrics to ensure excellent customer experience and on-time delivery.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and follow-through.
• Regularly evaluate and communicate performance trends and improvements to the organization.

What you’ll do:

• Drive standard processes and ensure best practice sharing across shifts, departments as well as other fulfillment centers including root cause and solution opportunities as needed in support of the sites day to day operations, especially with regards to safety, quality, productivity, and workflow
• Partner closely with a variety of groups company- wide, including transportation, S&OP, data integration, employee engagement, inventory planning, engineering and others to coordinate cross functional projects for your site
• Monitor and drive key performance of end to end metrics to ensure that we are providing excellent customer experience and delivering on our promise
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and thorough follow through
• Regularly evaluate and communicate performance trends and improvements to the organization

What you’ll need:

• Master’s Degree in Logistics or supply chain management or a similar role
• Minimum 5 years of experience in E-commerce in a related field
• Strong experience in working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve organization financial performance.
• Excellent analytical skills as well as strong business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability as a passionate people-centric leader who can effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company
