Job summary

Fintech HIRE Middle East & Africa is seeking a senior architect to own end-to-end technical solutions across the full airport technology landscape, including passenger processing, check-in, kiosks, bag drop, boarding and baggage handling, as well as CUPPS/CUSS/CUTE and AODB/RMS/FIDS/BHS interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience leading architecture for airport or aviation technology projects.
• Delivery track record on large complex programmes in aviation/transport critical infrastructure.
• Strong command of airport operational systems and IT/OT landscape.
• Familiarity with aviation standards and high-availability, secure design.

• Lead the design of integrated airport technology solutions covering passenger processing, check-in, kiosks, bag drop, boarding, baggage handling and reconciliation, CUPPS/CUSS/CUTE, and airport systems.
• Define target architectures and roadmaps for applications, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud, networks and security.
• Design integration architectures connecting airline, airport, ground-handler, government and retail systems.
• Embed cyber security, data protection and regulatory compliance from day one.
• Chair design authority and architecture review boards, manage technical risk, and mentor solution/domain architects.

Job description

Reporting to the Programme Director

You will own the end‑to‑end technical solution across the full airport technology landscape.

Lead the design of integrated airport technology solutions covering passenger processing, check‑in, self‑service kiosks, bag drop, boarding, baggage handling and reconciliation, common‑use systems (CUPPS, CUSS, CUTE) and airport operational systems (AODB, RMS, FIDS, BHS interfaces).

Define target architectures and roadmaps spanning applications, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud, networks and security.

Design integration architectures connecting airline, airport, ground‑handler, government and retail systems.

Embed cyber security, data protection and regulatory compliance into the design from day one.

Chair design authority and architecture review boards and own technical risk identification and mitigation.

Lead and mentor a team of solution and domain architects setting design standards.

This is a Riyadh‑based residential position with a tax‑free package, full‑time permanent role. Compensation benchmarked at senior technical leadership level for a Vision 2030 flagship programme. Package detail will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

Requirements

• You have led complex airport or aviation technology architecture before.
• Significant experience as a solution or enterprise architect on large complex programmes with demonstrable delivery in the aviation airport or wider transport critical‑infrastructure sector.
• Strong command of airport operational systems and the IT OT landscape AODB RMS FIDS BHS CUPPS CUSS CUTE BRS A-CDM passenger flow and biometric processing.
• Proven architecture breadth across applications integration data cloud Azure AWS GCP infrastructure networks and cyber security.
• Track record of designing for high availability resilience and security in mission‑critical 24 7 operational environments.
• Deep familiarity with IATA messaging and relevant ACI IATA guidance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills comfortable engaging at C-level.
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification desirable.
