Job summary

King Abdullah University of Science & Technology is seeking a Senior Lab Equipment Maintenance Specialist to provide expert field service and maintenance for high-end laboratory instruments, including Bruker LC–MS systems. You will mentor junior staff, plan preventive maintenance, and optimize equipment uptime while managing costs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with end-users, building vendor partnerships, and delivering user training.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• Factory service training in the class of equipment covered by the unit
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as SAP.
• Training in quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to maintenance and troubleshooting requests
• Coordinate with end-user to schedule equipment maintenance and other services
• Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and vendors
• Identify spare parts and assist with stock optimization
• Deliver training sessions and SOP development
