Job summary

KAUST seeks a Maintenance Engineer – Biomedical to ensure safe, reliable maintenance of biomedical and clinical equipment and support broader facilities operations across the campus. The role emphasizes audits, CMMS data accuracy (SAP/Maximo), and lifecycle management.

The engineer will lead preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinate with service providers, and ensure compliance with JCI, SFDA, CBAHI/SBAHI, IEC, and HTM standards while driving continuous improvement and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years in maintenance and operation of biomedical systems and facilities equipment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Proficiency with CMMS tools (SAP/Maximo) and asset data management.
• Experience with international codes and standards (JCI, SFDA, CBAHI/SBAHI, IEC, HTM).

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for biomedical and facility assets.
• Monitor activities to align with KAUST standards, safety protocols, SOPs, and KPIs.
• Conduct audits/inspections to verify service quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and performance verification of biomedical equipment.
• Maintain asset data in the CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and support lifecycle planning.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and report on service quality and asset reliability.
• Demonstrate expertise in biomedical equipment calibration, testing, and lifecycle management.
