Job summary

Lucid Motors USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer – Inverter to lead automated test systems for high‑voltage traction inverter validation in our Saudi operations.

You will collaborate with design, controls, quality, and production to deliver scalable, data‑driven test solutions that ensure safety, efficiency, and long‑term reliability. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field with at least 5 years of experience.
• 5–8 years developing and launching automated test equipment in high-volume manufacturing.
• Direct experience testing EV traction inverters or high-power power electronics in production.
• Strong knowledge of inverter architectures, power stages, gate drivers, and thermal management.
• Hands-on testing experience including functional power testing, PWM validation, and hipot testing.
• Ability to design electrical schematics using AutoCAD or EPLAN.
• Experience with NI PXI, cDAQ, or cRIO platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve inverter test specs as the manufacturing test authority.
• Analyze test sequences, limits, cycle times, and fault handling.
• Design and own test system hardware for inverter testing.
• Develop modular test applications with user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement databases to manage test parameters and results.
• Define DUT handling, fixturing, and HV connections.
• Collaborate with controls to integrate test apps with PLCs and testing equipment.
• Lead sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection for test equipment.
• Develop commissioning and validation plans including GR&R and fault simulation.
• Launch test systems into production and optimize yield.
• Train maintenance and operators on test stations.
• Partner with data teams to enable test data visualization and monitoring.
