Job summary

Client of Gateworth Group is seeking a senior Integration & Platform Reliability Architect to lead end-to-end transaction flows across API Connect, ACE, and Spring Boot services. You will drive stability, observability, and RCAs within distributed systems, blending deep debugging with platform oversight.

The role requires strong IBM CP4I, OpenShift and Kubernetes experience, plus hands-on expertise in J2EE stacks, REST/SOAP, and modern monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Principal Integration & Platform Reliability Architect or similar.
• Strong expertise in IBM CP4I components (ACE, MQ, API Connect).
• Advanced Java/Spring Boot with Spring Integration/Cloud.
• Hands-on OpenShift & Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, AMQP, MQTT knowledge.
• Observability tools: Instana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Proven RCA and distributed systems debugging experience.
• Experience supporting integration/microservices in large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable end-to-end transaction movement across API Connect, ACE and Spring Boot services.
• Lead RCAs for issues like MQ delivery failures and JVM instability.
• Monitor and optimise OpenShift environments and scalable pods.
• Enforce security controls (mTLS, OAuth2, encrypted payloads) across the integration layer.
• Diagnose ACE flow, ESQL, and adapter connectivity across SAP and file-based integrations.
• Oversee MQ queue managers, analyze channel retries, resolve dead-letter activity.
• Support API Connect; troubleshoot DataPower gateway performance.
• Investigate JVM performance with thread/heap analysis.
• Resolve issues across Spring Boot services involving JPA/Hibernate/JMS/Kafka.
• Correlate logs with ELK/Splunk to identify root causes across distributed services.
• Maintain observability with Instana/Dynatrace/Prometheus/Grafana.
• Improve monitoring practices for reliability across the integration ecosystem.
