Job summary

Astek is seeking an experienced Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer in Riyadh to provide senior leadership across a complex hybrid environment. You will guide day-to-day operations, drive improvements, and coordinate with cloud providers and security teams.

You will oversee physical and virtual servers, storage, network components, and incident response, while defining standards and roadmaps. Fluency in English is required, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Networking
• 10+ years in infrastructure operations and enterprise networking
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
• Advanced Windows and/or Linux administration, virtualization, storage, and backups
• Strong networking: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers
• Cloud experience with Azure and AWS
• Security, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance
• Proven incident management and root-cause analysis
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of hybrid cloud, server, network, and on-prem infrastructure.
• Be senior escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
• Evaluate tech environment to identify deficiencies and risks.
• Create and execute improvements for availability, resilience, and performance.
• Oversee admin across physical servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud services.
• Guide network infra including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and NACs.
• Work with Cybersecurity to implement security measures.
• Lead major incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain infrastructure roadmaps and documentation.
• Coordinate with cloud providers and vendors.
