Job summary

Alfanar Engineering Services in Jeddah seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead HV/EHV substation testing and commissioning. You will perform tests from 13.8kV to 380kV, coordinate with clients and project teams, and prepare detailed test reports.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant substation experience, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely energization of projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in HV substation testing & commissioning
• Experience in AIS/GIS substations up to 132kV/220kV/380kV

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations (13.8kV–380kV).
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for power transformers.
• Test AIS/GIS switchgear, disconnectors, and earthing switches.
• Carry out protection relay testing and configuration.
• Perform CTs/VTs testing, including insulation resistance and winding tests.
• Verify interlocks, control logic, and protection schemes.
• Support energization, synchronization, and commissioning reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly/final commissioning reports.
