Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a qualified HSE Engineer to join the PMCM team on a prestigious project in Riyadh. The role focuses on monitoring HSE compliance across construction activities and promoting a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 5–8 years of HSE experience on large projects, and familiarity with Saudi regulations and PMCM environments. Saudi nationals with SCE registration are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5–8 years of HSE experience on large construction projects.
PMCM/Consultancy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
Identify unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
Review contractors' HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work.
Investigate accidents and near misses with detailed reports and recommendations.
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
Monitor environmental compliance and sustainability standards.
Ensure appropriate PPE usage and safe working practices.
Track and report HSE performance metrics weekly and monthly.
Coordinate with stakeholders for continuous safety improvement.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
