Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Fire & Life Safety Site Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will supervise on-site inspections of active and passive fire protection, fire alarm and detection, smoke control, means of egress, and related life-safety interfaces, ensuring compliance with approved designs and Civil Defence requirements.

You will coordinate with MEP, architectural and structural teams, witness testing, and document observations for successful Civil Defence handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master-level engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 15 years in fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
• Minimum 10 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Experience coordinating with MEP, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Familiarity with Civil Defence requirements and NFPA standards.
• Professional certifications in fire protection/inspection are required.

Responsibilities

• Site inspection, verification and compliance monitoring of Fire & Life Safety systems.
• Ensure installations meet design documents, codes, standards and Civil Defence requirements.

About the Role

The Fire & Life Safety Site Inspector will be responsible for the site inspection, verification, and compliance monitoring of Fire & Life Safety systems and provisions, ensuring that installations are in accordance with approved design documents, applicable codes and standards, project specifications, approved material submittals, and Civil Defence requirements.

The role will cover active and passive fire protection systems, fire alarm and detection systems, smoke control systems, means of egress, fire and smoke compartmentation, and associated fire and life safety interfaces throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and authority inspection stages.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor’s degreein Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in fire protection, fire alarm, Fire & Life Safety installation, inspection, supervision and/or commissioning.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in multidisciplinary construction projects and coordination with MEP, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Familiarity with applicable Civil Defence requirements, NFPA standards, project specifications and approved authority requirements.
• Experience supporting Civil Defence inspections and project handover is highly desirable.
• Relevant fire protection or inspection-related professional certification is required
• NFPA certificationsCFI-II is must. Additional advantage, if withCFPS, CFPE, CWBSP.
