Job summary

Egis is seeking a Fire & Life Safety Site Inspector in Saudi Arabia to perform on-site inspection, verification and compliance monitoring of FLS systems across active and passive fire protection, fire alarm, smoke control and means of egress.

You will ensure installations meet approved designs, codes and Civil Defence requirements, coordinate with MEP disciplines, witness testing, and support project handover and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in fire protection, fire alarm and life safety installations.
• 5–7 years of experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction projects with MEP, architectural and structural teams.
• Familiar with Civil Defence requirements, NFPA standards, project specs and authority requirements.
• NFPA CFI-II certification is mandatory.
• Other professional certifications are preferred.

• Coordinate with MEP, architectural and structural disciplines to resolve non-conformities.

About the Role

The Fire & Life Safety Site Inspector will be responsible for the site inspection, verification, and compliance monitoring of Fire & Life Safety systems and provisions, ensuring that installations are in accordance with approved design documents, applicable codes and standards, project specifications, approved material submittals, and Civil Defence requirements.

The role will cover active and passive fire protection systems, fire alarm and detection systems, smoke control systems, means of egress, fire and smoke compartmentation, and associated fire and life safety interfaces throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and authority inspection stages.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in fire protection, fire alarm, Fire & Life Safety installation, inspection, supervision and/or commissioning.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in multidisciplinary construction projects and coordination with MEP, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Familiarity with applicable Civil Defence requirements, NFPA standards, project specifications and approved authority requirements.
• Experience supporting Civil Defence inspections and project handover is highly desirable.
• Relevant fire protection or inspection-related professional certification is preferred.
• NFPA CFI-II is must.
