Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Lead Field Engineer - Mechanical to lead all mechanical site supervision during construction of major building projects. You will supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and district cooling systems, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and QA/QC.

The role requires 12+ years of experience, leadership of field engineers and inspectors, and strong knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred.
Professional engineering certification highly desirable (PE, Chartered, PMP).
Minimum 12+ years in mechanical engineering, construction and site supervision.
7+ years in lead mechanical supervision on major buildings.
Experience with large-scale buildings, convention centers, hotels, resorts or mixed-use developments.
Experience in Site Supervision Consultancy, PMC, or engineering consultancy environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, district cooling, ventilation, plumbing and piping, firefighting, and fuel systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all mechanical site supervision activities throughout construction.
Supervise a team of mechanical field engineers, inspectors and consultants.
Review contractor shop drawings, submittals and method statements.
Monitor HVAC, district cooling interfaces, ventilation, plumbing, and firefighting works.
Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical and ICT systems.
Conduct site inspections and ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.
Witness FAT/SAT, pressure tests, balancing and commissioning activities.
Manage RFIs, technical queries and project progress reporting.
