Job summary

AECOM in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia seeks a Lead Field Engineer – Façade and Envelope to oversee design, installation, and QA of façade systems on complex projects. You will lead engineers and technicians, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance across international standards and local codes.

You will mentor staff, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with architects and project managers to deliver durable, cost-effective envelope solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field engineering experience on façade/envelope projects.
• Expertise in curtain wall systems, glazing, and building envelope design/installation.
• Proficiency with CAD and BIM modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes including Saudi Building Code.
• Project management and site coordination experience.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Experience in Middle East/Saudi projects preferred.
• Knowledge of façade performance analysis and thermal/acoustic considerations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field engineering activities related to façade and envelope systems.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project managers for integration.
• Conduct technical analysis of façade designs and identify issues.
• Manage quality control inspections and testing protocols.
• Oversee installation procedures and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare as-built drawings, inspection reports, and performance data.
• Analyze façade-related challenges and develop corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize performance and cost.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code and local/international regs.
• Monitor timelines and budgets; report progress to senior management.
• Mentor junior engineers and field staff for technical excellence.
