Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Riyadh seeks a meticulous Contract Administrator to oversee a portfolio of FIDIC-based contracts within our PMC team. You will manage commercial obligations between Employer, contractors, and consultants across design and construction phases.

The role requires strong experience with FIDIC Red and Yellow Books, rigorous notice management, claims evaluation, and interface management to safeguard the Employer’s interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certification such as MRICS, CIArb, or PMP.
• Formal training in FIDIC contracts and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer contracts per FIDIC Red/Yellow Books and Lead Design Consultant agreements.
• Interpret terms, conditions, specs and scope boundaries for the PMC and Employer.
• Ensure parties comply with obligations and procedural timelines.
• Manage boundaries and liabilities between Lead Design Consultant and Contractors.
• Monitor the Review Period for Contractor’s Documents to prevent deemed approvals.
• Administer remeasurement, BOQ variations, and risk management of design delivery.
• Ensure adherence to deliverable schedules, and professional indemnity requirements.
• Draft clear, contractually sound correspondence and responses.
• Evaluate milestone payments and interim certificates against contract terms.
• Coordinate with Employer to issue Variation Orders and manage change control.
• Review EOT and Additional Payment claims; lead evaluation with PMC/Employer teams.
• Prepare Engineer's Determinations and briefing notes on risks and disputes.
• Issue Taking Over Certificates and final accounts; coordinate approvals.
