Job summary

National Medical Care Co. is seeking a Senior Registrar for the Emergency Department to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care under supervision. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, patient safety, and adherence to healthcare standards and policies.

The position requires robust medical training, BLS/ALS certifications, and ongoing CME participation in a fast-paced hospital setting in Riyadh. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school (MBBS) and completion of required training.
• Post graduate / Master's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support certification as per assigned area.
• Higher qualifications in his specialty.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the specialty after obtaining Post Graduate Degree and being register.
• Current valid license to practice medicine in the area of his specialty.
• Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or Current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia as a senior registrar.
• Five (5) years’ experience in the specialty after obtaining Post Graduate Degree.
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• knowledgeable of the Medical by-laws
• Competence in relevant clinical procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in electronic health records and clinical systems
• Knowledge of computer application
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Communication in spoken Arabic is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for patients (inpatient and outpatient) under supervision of the Consultant / Head of ER.
• Maintains high professional performance according to standards.
• Participates in development and maintenance of medical contingency disaster plans.
• Supervises ER physicians and performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Maintains patient records and participates in on-call rota.
• Provides patient education and health promotion per policy.
• Engages in CME and hospital activities for ongoing learning.
• Contributes to quality improvement activities and committee work.
