Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional ethics and JCIA standards adherence.
• Adhere to hospital by-laws and MOH laws.
• Develop and maintain a department quality plan with measurable performance.
• Active participation in CME through hospital activities.
• Supervise ER staff and on-duty physicians.
• Maintain patient records with accurate documentation.
• Educate patients and families per policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality medical treatment, compassion and understanding for every patient.
• Provide patient care within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Follow clinically valid standards, guidelines and criteria.
• Participate in disaster contingency planning for medical emergencies.
• Supervise triage in ER and supervise ER physicians.
• Ensure delivery of medical care meeting JCIA and hospital standards.
• Organize duty rosters for ER physicians.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within specialty scope.
• Refer patients to appropriate facilities as needed.
• Participate in on-call rota for the department.
