Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager for a major Riyadh-based project. You will lead the Environmental Management Plan, ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, monitor contractor performance, and drive sustainability initiatives across construction activities.

The role requires extensive EMS expertise and leadership across multidisciplinary teams. The position emphasizes environmental reporting, risk mitigation, and close collaboration with authorities and clients to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Environmental Management preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in environmental management for large-scale construction.
• Experience on site supervision consultancy projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of Saudi environmental regulations and international standards.
• Certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or NEBOSH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) per project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi environmental legislation, permits and client standards.
• Monitor contractor compliance with environmental obligations and approved procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and environmental assessments to identify risks.
• Review contractor ESMS documents and risk assessments for approval.
• Lead environmental investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare environmental reports and manage reporting to client and management.
• Promote sustainability and waste reduction across the project team.
• Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders on environmental matters.
