Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to ensure regulatory compliance and monitor environmental performance across major construction projects. You will advise the project team on best practices, coordinate with HSE and quality, and drive sustainability targets.

Responsibilities include reviewing permits, maintaining documentation, and supporting mitigation measures to reduce impacts while promoting energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental/related field required.
• Minimum 12–15 years of environmental engineering and compliance experience.
• Minimum 7 years in construction supervision or site supervision.
• Experience on large-scale building developments and GCC/Saudi projects.
• Knowledge of permitting, monitoring, auditing, and sustainability implementation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Saudi environmental regulations and project commitments.
• Monitor dust, noise, air quality, wastewater, and hazardous materials.
• Maintain records of inspections, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Support investigations of environmental incidents and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to improve environmental performance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly environmental performance reports.
• Liaise with contractors/regulators and provide advice.
