Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of dam structures, spillways, outlets and related electromechanical assets.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities related to dams.
  • Experience overseeing contractors and reviewing O&M project execution.
  • Experience reviewing schedules, budgets, technical reports, designs and contractor submissions.
  • Knowledge of dam inspection, condition assessment, asset performance and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor dam operation and maintenance activities across the assigned portfolio.
  • Coordinate civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control disciplines.
  • Review the condition and operational performance of dams and associated assets.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective measures.
  • Review dam inspection findings, condition-assessment reports and instrumentation data.
  • Monitor seepage, deformation, settlement, cracking, erosion and sedimentation indicators.
  • Support preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance programs.
  • Identify critical assets and prioritize maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement requirements.
  • Review project schedules, work plans, progress reports and budgets.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and delivery plans.
  • Identify deviations and recommend recovery actions.
  • Plan and coordinate O&M, rehabilitation and improvement projects.
  • Review technical designs, drawings, calculations, specs and bills of quantities.
  • Verify compliance with codes, standards and client requirements.
  • Oversee dam O&M contracts and monitor contractor performance.
  • Ensure works align with approved plans, safety and quality standards.
  • Review progress reports, technical submissions and completion records.
  • Participate in site inspections, audits, testing, commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate resolution of technical issues, non-conformances and defects.
  • Support the preparation of operating manuals, maintenance procedures and EAPs.
  • Contribute to new scopes of work, tenders and contract requirements.
  • Monitor project risks and support mitigation/contingency plans.
  • Coordinate with planning, contracts, cost control, risk, quality, HSE and asset-management teams.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual technical reports.
  • Present findings and risks to management and government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with government entities, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attend meetings, inspections and site visits across Saudi Arabia as required.
  • Comply with Saudi laws, codes, procedures and safety obligations.
