DAR AL RIYADH is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering professional to lead dam operations monitoring, supervise maintenance, and ensure conformance with drawings and specifications across projects in Saudi Arabia.
Candidates will review contractor plans, record inspections, prepare technical reports, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support safe, timely handover of completed works.
Monitor contractors delivering dam operations and maintenance projects Supervise civil maintenance repair rehabilitation and improvement works at assigned facilities Inspect dam structures embankments spillways outlet structures channels drainage systems and associated civil assets Monitor concrete earthworks masonry drainage road fencing and structural-repair activities Review the condition of dam crests slopes foundations abutments access roads and downstream structures Identify cracking erosion settlement deformation seepage surface deterioration and other civil defects Record inspection findings and recommend corrective preventive or rehabilitation measures Review contractors drawings method statements material submissions inspection plans and work procedures Verify that works are performed in accordance with approved drawings specifications and instructions Review repair proposals for concrete defects cracks joints drainage systems slopes and protective works Monitor grouting crack treatment waterproofing concrete repair and erosion-control works where applicable Verify the suitability and quality of construction materials used at site Witness inspections field tests material tests and completion assessments Review inspection requests test results non-conformance reports and corrective-action records Monitor workmanship and ensure that defects and outstanding items are corrected Track activity schedules and verify implementation against approved plans and contractual milestones Review daily weekly and monthly work programs and identify delays constraints and resource shortages Monitor contractor manpower materials equipment and site productivity Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to maintain efficient and uninterrupted execution Coordinate civil works with mechanical electrical hydraulic geotechnical environmental quality and HSE teams Participate in progress technical coordination and performance-review meetings Support the verification of completed quantities and provide technical input to payment assessments Assist in reviewing variations additional works and claims related to civil activities Monitor project and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures Ensure that work areas are safely accessed and that applicable permit-to-work requirements are followed Participate in testing commissioning handover and close-out inspections Review as-built drawings completion records warranties and O amp M documentation Maintain accurate records of site activities inspections progress defects and corrective actions Prepare technical reports on system condition project progress and contractor performance Prepare clear daily weekly monthly annual and technical reports as required by the assignment Present civil-work findings risks delays and recommendations to project management Coordinate with government stakeholders consultants contractors and multidisciplinary teams Attend meetings inspections and site visits anywhere in Saudi Arabia as required Comply with Saudi laws applicable codes Client procedures quality requirements and occupational health and safety obligations
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.Minimum 8 years of professional experience coordinating and integrating civil works.Previous experience with dam facilities is required.Experience supervising civil O&M, repair, rehabilitation or infrastructure works.Knowledge of dam structures, embankments, spillways, outlets, drainage systems and related civil assets.Experience identifying and assessing cracks, settlement, erosion, seepage and surface deterioration.Ability to review civil drawings, technical specifications, method statements and inspection plans.Experience monitoring contractors, site progress, workmanship and material quality.Familiarity with concrete repair, earthworks, drainage, slope protection and rehabilitation activities.Knowledge of applicable Saudi codes and recognized civil engineering standards.Strong site-inspection, technical-reporting, coordination and problem-solving capabilities.Relevant experience must be supported by verifiable employment records, project references, reports or studies when requested.
