Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise contractors’ field activities at assigned dam and water-infrastructure sites.
  • Inspect construction, maintenance, repair and rehabilitation works.
  • Monitor works involving concrete, earthworks, masonry, drainage, roads, fencing and structural repairs.
  • Inspect dam crests, embankments, slopes, abutments, spillways, outlets, channels and associated civil structures.
  • Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection and test plans before work begins.
  • Verify that contractors execute work in accordance with approved technical documents and Client instructions.
  • Monitor workmanship, materials, equipment and construction methods.
  • Verify the dimensions, levels, alignment and location of completed works.
  • Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items and concrete works before placement.
  • Witness concrete sampling, field-density testing, material testing and other required inspections.
  • Check material deliveries against approved submittals, certificates and specifications.
  • Inspect repair activities involving cracks, joints, concrete deterioration, erosion, drainage and surface protection.
  • Monitor grouting, waterproofing, crack injection and slope-protection works where applicable.
  • Identify defects, unsafe conditions, incomplete work and non-conforming activities.
  • Issue site observations and support the preparation of non-conformance reports.
  • Follow up corrective and preventive actions through to verified closure.
  • Review contractors’ inspection requests and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate joint inspections with engineers, consultants and Client representatives.
  • Review and coordinate contractor activities to prevent conflicts and interruptions.
  • Monitor daily progress against approved schedules and work instructions.
  • Verify contractors’ manpower, equipment and material availability.
  • Report delays, access constraints, resource shortages and other site issues.
  • Support the measurement and verification of completed quantities.
  • Provide site information for payment assessments, variations and claims.
  • Monitor compliance with permit-to-work, environmental and occupational safety requirements.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, site coordination meetings and safety inspections.
  • Maintain daily site diaries, inspection records, photographs and progress evidence.
  • Record weather conditions, work locations, manpower, equipment and completed activities.
  • Review red-line drawings and support the verification of as-built information.
  • Participate in testing, handover, snagging and close-out inspections.
  • Prepare periodic reports containing observations, findings, recommendations and outstanding actions.
  • Prepare clear daily, weekly, monthly, annual and technical reports as required by the assignment.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attend meetings, inspections and site visits anywhere in Saudi Arabia as required.
  • Comply with Saudi laws, applicable codes, Client procedures, quality requirements and occupational health and safety obligations.
