Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, review, and coordination of electrical building services for high-rise and large-scale developments. You will oversee calculations, protection studies, and power system analysis, ensuring SBC and international standards compliance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or Building Services preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Membership of IEEE, IET or SCE desirable.
• 15–20 years of professional electrical engineering experience, with 10+ years on major high‑rise projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and review of electrical systems for high‑rise and complex buildings.
• Review electrical calculations, load schedules, single‑line diagrams, reports and specs.
• Perform load assessments, voltage drop, short‑circuit, protection and power system analysis.
• Coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure integrated building services.
• Review contractor submissions and oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with SBC, SEC and international standards; drive safety and energy efficiency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

Master's degree in electrical engineering or Building Services

Professional Engineer (PE) / Chartered Engineer

IEEE / IET / SCE membership desirable

Sustainability certifications (LEED AP / Mostadam) advantageous
