About The Role

Reporting to the Design Manager, your primary role is to hold responsibility for ensuring that all electrical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications are reviewed and correct prior to and during construction. You will play a crucial part in the PMO team, ensuring the application of correct standards and providing technical leadership. This is a full-time position mainly based in Riyadh; availability and flexibility to travel are essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Reviewing and supporting the review of electrical engineering design drawings, shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.
• Providing clarifications and technical inputs for Contractor queries and requests.
• Reviewing Contractor's material proposals against specified technical performance requirements.
• Active participation in design reviews, workshops and optimization studies.
• Attending site inspections, providing reports and constructively confronting non-conformances in a timely manner and in accordance to each specific project's standard.
• Forecasting trends, anticipating potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budget.
• Attending preconstruction meetings with contractors and the PCM team prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.
• Dealing with local authorities for data collection and approvals, where required.

Requirements

Key Competencies And Skills

• Over 7 years of experience in engineering design companies, with years of experience in a senior or lead position with direct interface with clients.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure and buildings electrical design.
• Excellent knowledge of international and KSA codes and standards.
• Proven proficiency in software like ETAP, DIALUX or other equivalent calculations software.
• Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
• Saudi national is mandatory.
