Job summary

SAUDI GEOPHYSICAL CONSULTING OFFICE seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer with over 10 years in design projects. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of ETAP, Saudi Aramco standards, and strong technical writing skills.

The role includes directing FEED and detailed design packages, ensuring adherence to specifications, and reviewing vendor documents. Successful candidates will mentor and motivate young engineers while supporting projects like the Jafurah Project.

Qualifications

• 10 years as Electrical Engineer on design projects including Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, and Construction support.
• Professional certification by AACE, PMI, or a professional engineering board is required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical system studies and calculations for voltage ratings up to 230kV.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 10 years as Electrical Engineer on design projects including Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, and Construction support.
• Experience with Saudi Aramco standards and projects preferred.
• Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, API, NEMA, IEC related to Electrical Installation works and Area Classification requirements.
• Professional certification by AACE, PMI or a professional engineering board is required.
• Extensive knowledge of ETAP and general electrical system studies, calculations, electrical area classification, plant layouts related to power, lighting, grounding, substations voltage rating from 480V up to 115/230kV including substation automation.
• Experience with electrical equipment specification & data sheet for transformers, switchgears, motor control centers, UPS, DC power system, motors.
• Experience in review of technical bid evaluation and recommendation, vendor document reviews and engineering deliverables.
• Experience reviewing and directing design for Overhead Transmission line voltage rating 13.8kV, 34.5kV and 115kV.
• Relevant experience in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering – EPC phases (engineering, material procurement, construction management of hydrocarbon facilities) with emphasis on FEED & Detailed Design and support during construction.
• Technically qualified to support the projects in Jafurah Project.
• Strong technical writing skills and willingness to mentor and motivate young Saudi Engineers.
