Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager for a major oil & gas/petrochemical project in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role oversees the engineering team, ensures execution to plan, and interfaces across disciplines to meet project baselines.

The candidate must have a strong piping and mechanical background with Brownfield and turnaround experience, plus FEED and detail design leadership on large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
• 16+ years of experience in engineering/design (oil & gas/petrochemical/industrial).
• Strong piping and mechanical background with Brownfield, turnaround and FEED/detail design exposure.

Responsibilities

• Has overall responsibility and accountability for the performance of the engineering team, and the engineering execution and delivery as per the project baseline.
• Support interfaces between engineering disciplines, identify critical activities to support the execution strategy.
• Support the project culture in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Review Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and LTSA baseline documents for all project phases.
• Lead/develop the Project Execution Strategy for all engineering functions.
• Lead/support engineering schedule planning sessions.
• Own the project engineering schedule and maintain correct sequencing or mitigations.
• Champion and support engineering through project execution.
• Coordinate interfaces between Engineering and other disciplines (Process, Controls, Procurement, Construction, client).

Requirements/Qualification:

• Lead/Support the development of the Project Execution Strategy for all engineering functions.
• Lead/support engineering schedule planning sessions
• Own the project engineering schedule, and ensure that correct engineering sequence is maintained, or mitigations are put in place.
• Champion and support engineering through Project execution.
• Coordinate the interfaces between Engineering and the other disciplines on the project including Process Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement and Contracts, Construction, and the client team.
