Job summary

Master Works is seeking a Data & Analytics Consultant to lead BI and data engineering, overseeing the enterprise data warehouse, ETL/ELT, and BI reporting ecosystem. This role partners with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Strategy to capture requirements, define KPIs, and deliver decision-support tools.

The candidate will design Power BI dashboards, optimize SQL, and guide data governance while collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. Client Site location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Analytics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Consulting.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and data visualization.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical/analytical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or IICS.
• Mastery of SQL Server or cloud data warehouses; proficient in query optimization.
• Expert-level Power BI skills (Power BI Service, Gateway, Premium, DAX).
• Cross-functional domain knowledge in operations, finance, workforce analytics, and strategy.
• Experience with Azure/Azure Data Services or similar cloud analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis is preferred.
• Knowledge of DAX and Power Query is preferred.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and MDM is preferred.
• Experience in AI/ML analytics or integrating AI capabilities is preferred.
• Certifications like Power BI Data Analyst or Azure Data Engineer are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Translate business requirements into data and analytics solutions.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality activities.
• Define KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators with stakeholders.
• Provide analytical insights and recommendations for decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders.
• Validate data and ensure accuracy of analytical outputs.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and executive insights.
• Support data governance, standards, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analytics processes.
• Provide consulting and advisory services on data and analytics.
• Stay updated on analytics technologies and AI-driven methods.
