Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lead Cost Engineer to guide staffing and project control for the Ar Rjum gold project. You will oversee cost estimation, analysis, and data-driven decisions ensuring alignment with Bechtel and client requirements.

The role demands extensive experience in non-routine cost activities, strong communication with management, and adherence to Bechtel's standards across engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and startup processes.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience
• Experience directing project cost engineering, including cost control and analysis, cost reporting, incurred cost assessment and meetings
• Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes as performed by Bechtel
• Skilled in oral and written communication, with ability to present Project Controls information to management/client
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management practices acquired through specialized instruction or experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements
• Analyzes to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges
• Develops and implements project requirements for cost control per Bechtel and client requirements
• Ensures work is completed as scheduled, supporting project organizational activities
• Prepares cost studies using historical data and cost trend analysis
• Reviews cost trends for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives
• Maintains communications with other organizations to support cost engineering activities
